JOSEPH TIGHUE

Avery

Joseph Tighue is a current junior at Temple University majoring in Film and Media Arts. He grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and is happy to expand his artistic horizons in the city of Philadelphia. Tighue was excited to join the Buoy team as the lead, Avery, as he saw an eerie resemblance in the quirky qualities of the character. Outside of the classroom, he enjoys making and listening to music, and graphic designing. He has Temple acting experience from the live sketch comedy show SMASH, and Insomnia Theater. He hopes to soon find himself stranded somewhere with a bounty on his head. Good luck Joseph!

BRIAN BASENFELDER

Mr. Gibson

Philadelphia native Brian Basenfelder graduated from Temple University with a BA in History in 1980 and works in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. In the 1980's he played keyboards and rhythm guitar in a 60's band called The Sneaks. From 1998 to 2003 Brian performed in over a dozen community theater plays, mostly in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. Since 2015 Brian has acted in a number of films made by Temple students, enjoys it very much and appreciates those who hire him for his roles. Brian also takes acting classes at the Walnut Street Theater.

ALICE HAKVAAG

Alice Hakvaag is from Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, and is currently located in Philadelphia where she has continued her theater career. She is now studying acting and directing at Temple University. When she isn’t focused on her theatrical career, she spends her free time writing and illustrating. Hakvaag shared “Buoy has been so fun to work on, it's not often that I get to bring my cat to work and make her a movie star”. She notes she’s excited to stay in Philadelphia and continue finding her place in the artistic community.
